I, Kirsten, am a 25 year old girl, based in Antwerp (Belgium). After 25 years of growing up with parents who are both creators of many lovely dinners I moved in with my boyfriend and had to start making my own kitchen queen creations. I discovered that I also carry the foodie gene and love to cook and experiment my way through the kitchen.
I try to cook as healthy as possible and eat ‘clean’, which means I eat little to no processed foods, 80% of the time. Though, I am a girl with as many chocolate and cupcake cravings as any other woman on the planet so it is my greatest pleasure to invent some sweet tooth solutions that are as clean as possible. But, every now and then I cheat and eat whatever I want, say 20% of the time.
You’ll notice I don’t use that many carbs in my recipes. That’s because my rule of thumb is to only eat carbs once or twice a day. And since I usually eat bread at work, I skip the carbs during dinner. But feel free to add as many potatoes, rice or pasta as you like. That what the boyfriend does too. 🙂
I’m not a professional cook neither am I a dietician or health guru. I just love to cook and read a lot about it and about health. Cupcakes and Beans will keep your sweet tooth happy and the numbers on your scale might like it too. 🙂
